Basic information

Arabic gum, also known as Arabic gum, comes from the trunk exudate of Acacia in Leguminosae, so it is also known as acacia gum. Gum Arabic is mainly composed of high molecular polysaccharides and their calcium, magnesium and potassium salts. It mainly includes gum aldose, galactose, glucuronic acid, etc. Arabic gum with good quality is amber in color, and the particles are large and round.

General Uses

It is mainly used as thickener, stabilizer, emulsifier, coating agent glaze. This product is widely used in beverage production, such as the production of soft drinks, juice concentrate flavor and essential oils which can be stabilized. It is also used in candy making, like traditional hard (liquor) chicle, soft candy, cotton candy. It could also be used as foam stabilizer.
